Polite Puppies

This class is designed for puppies 8 weeks of age, having had their second set of shots, up to 5 months old. The main focus is on appropriate socialization as well as building a positive relationship with your dog. Work with your pup will be both on and off leash and we look at the foundation skills for focus, attention, canine manners, the recall as well as potty training, mouthing, chewing, play and puppies with children.

Good Dogs Have More Fun!

A well behaved dog truly does have more fun because he gets to go places and do lots of things with you that he otherwise wouldn’t be able to. This is a fun and positive reward based class focusing on basic foundation (obedience) behaviours, focused attention and building a great relationship between you and your dog. Perfect for a follow-up to puppy class, for newly adopted dogs and owners or for those who want to brush up on their skills in the distraction of a class based setting.

Good Dogs Have More Fun Reprised!

The reprised Good Dog class offers more advanced challenges to dogs and their people who have completed Good Dogs Have More Fun. This class looks at cueing behaviours from a distance, more challenging recall and loose leash walking scenarios including off leash and outdoor work.

What the Dog Said

Learn what motivates your dog, how to control his arousal, gain focus and create (just the right amount) of confidence. In this unique and educational class, you’ll find out what your dog is communicating through body language and behaviour so that you can make better training and life choices for him. Perfect for shy or anxious dogs, adolescents and for those owners who just want to gain a better understanding of why their dog does what he does.

Reliable Recall

Loose Leash Secrets (Mini Class)

Does your dog pull you on walks? Is it hard to get his focus in an outdoor environment? In this two week mini class, we’ll show you different techniques for loose leash walking while teaching your dog to stay connected to you turning an exercise in frustration to a fun and enjoyable activity for you both!

Reactive Rescue
- Cost: $525.00
Does your dog lunge at other dogs or strangers when he’s on leash? Does he have trouble coping in new environments? Are you afraid to take him on walks because you’re not sure what he might do? This class is designed for dogs who have reactivity or aggression issues. Understand the underlying causes of your dog’s behaviour and learn how to build confidence in both of you. Using positive training techniques and proper management, teach your dog appropriate behaviours so that you can both feel safe and confident in changing environments.

Duration is 6 weeks, 8 classes, each class is 1.5 hours a class (the last two weeks of class will have a class on Thursday and Saturday) and is limited to 6 dogs. Two Certified Professional Dog Trainers give you the tools needed to cope, manage and prevent unpleasant outbursts from your dog and get your life back!

Let the Games Begin Workshop

Puppies explore their world, learn about appropriate dog interactions and behaviorally develop through play – play with people, other dogs, toys and their environment. Dogs never grow out ofthe joy that play brings them and we humans could definitely learn a thing or two from them!

Dogs are learning all the time through play. Discover how you can recognize what they’re learning, new things that motivate them and develop the skills you would like to see in your dog in a setting that is fun and safe for both of you!

Join Tina Sarantis, CPDT KA and Kirsten Rose, CBCC-KA, CPDT- KSA, KPA-CTP in this two day interactive workshop where you’ll learn how to use play and games as an integral part of your training, as well as to deepen the bond between you and your dog.

Workshop runs Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Dogs must be able to settle in their crates and must be comfortable working it the presence of other dogs and people.

Puppy Play Time – Saturday, October 13th $10.00/dog - Puppy needing a little extra play time with other dogs, come by Back in the Pack at 1:00pm for a 1/2 hour of puppy fun.

Adult Dog Play Time – Saturday, October 13th $10.00/dog - Let your dog burn off some energy at Back in the Pack this Saturday at 1:45pm for a 1/2 hour of adult dog play time. Dogs must get along well with other dogs and people.

All I Want For Christmas – Saturday, December 1, 1:30pm $25.00/dog - Join us for a one hour mini workshop designed to help your dog through the holiday season safely and well behaved. We’ll help you to keep the tree and turkey safe from Fido and Fido safe from ornaments and turkey bones, not to mention brushing up on polite doggie manners around guests and how to tell when Fido has had enough and needs a break from the festivities. Light refreshments and a small Christmas Market will follow the workshop.
